Papers of Bliss Carman, 1897-1934.

The majority of the collection is verse and prose, almost all of which was authored by Bliss Carman (1861-1929). One poem was authored jointly by Carman and Mary Perry King (b. 1865), and two are credited entirely to her. The collection also contains correspondence, the majority of which is addressed to Carman. Correspondents include Jane Addams, Hamilton Wright Mabie, Walter Gilman Page, Dudley Allen Sargent, Charles Hanson Towne and Charles J. Rosebault.

(William) Bliss Carman (1861-1929) was a Canadian poet and editor. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, he studied at the universities of New Brunswick and Harvard.
